On September 19th and 20th teachers from Rocky View Schools participated in the Trailblazers Cohort, a professional learning opportunity that focused on instructional design and had teachers create a digital interpretive trail.
On day one teachers were asked to consider the question: what are the iconic symbols of Alberta? After collecting research, they narrowed in on one iconic symbol that connected with Alberta, as well as their own communities. They created symbols, which have been submitted to the Noun Project under the title "Alberta Collection".
On day two, teachers recorded their narration. The narrations and icons can be found under the Icons of Alberta page on this site. Teachers are taking this project as inspiration to create their own versions for students across Rocky View.
